HAND
TURNED MOZAMBICAN HARDWOOD PRODUCTS
 |
|
All
our products are made from the beautiful and precious
Moçambican hardwoods. Our range of handmade hardwood
products are designed by Africa Naturally and made in
Sofala by skilled local artisans.
Mocambique has a variety of beautiful hardwoods
throughout the country. For our turnings we use woods
available in Sofala and off-cuts for smaller items where
possible. We also participate in re-forestation by growing
and planting over 500 indigenous trees each year. |
There
are several varieties of each type of wood but below are
some examples of the hardwoods we use to make our hardwood
products. These unique pieces are produced from a wide range
of beautiful and precious Moçambican hardwoods including:

Chanfuta
is a lighter wood in colour, almost yellow when first
cut, which turns to a light reddish colour with time. |

varieties. It is a red colour with a dynamic grain depending
on the specific type. |
